Father James V. Marchionda is a Dominican priest, preacher, composer, conductor, singer, and woodwind instrumentalist (clarinet and saxophones), and speaker, who offers parish missions, workshops, lectures and concerts throughout the United States and abroad. A member of the Chicago Dominican Province of St. Albert the Great, he served nine years as Vicar Provincial, and is presently a member of the Provincial Council.
Composer of over 100 sacred music compositions, his work is published by and available through World Library Publications, the music and liturgy division of the J.S. Paluch Company. Father Jim's unique ministry successfully combines preaching with a professional career in sacred music.
In 2006 Father Jim, preacher and composer, was honored as the recipient of The Paluch Family Foundation Liturgy Award. Founded in 1995, the Foundation seeks to promote three areas of the Catholic Church that Margaret Paluch cherishes: Liturgy, Stewardship, and Vocations.
