PAUL MELLEY
Paul is a talented singer, composer, and saxophonist. He currently serves as Director of Liturgical Music and Assistant Chaplain at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. He is Director of the Chapel Choir as well as the Contemporary Ensemble, and oversees music used in liturgy and worship at the college. Paul is also the Coordinator for the RCIA group on campus.
Previously, he served as an Assistant Director of Music and Coordinator of Youth Ministry at St. Ignatius Church in Chestnut Hill, MA.
Paul has also been part time faculty at Boston College’s Graduate Institute for Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry for the last four years.
He has performed throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, and is featured on a number of recordings from GIA and OCP. Paul published a psalm in Spirit and Song II before signing with GIA Publications.
Paul had the great honor of singing his own composition at the Vigil Liturgy attended by Pope John Paul II in Toronto, Canada for World Youth Day 2002 to an audience of over half a million people.
Paul has his B.A. in Voice and Music Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and is completing a Masters of Theology with a concentration in Liturgy at Boston College.
Paul lives in Massachusetts with his wife, Kris, and their two fantastic kids.
