As a young adult Paolo Francesco Danei was moved by the passion of Christ. Through a series of prayer experiences, Paul received the calling to establish a community devoted to the Passion of Jesus and dedicated to sacrifice and penance. In 1720, with the encouragement of his bishop, who clothed him in the black habit of a hermit, Paul wrote the rules of what would become the Passionists during a forty-day retreat. In this EWTN Original Docudrama, discover the life, ministry and writings of the founder of the Passionists, St. Paul of the Cross.
